Learning Center Director – North Edmonton
Are you a passionate education leader ready to shape a dynamic learning environment? Our new physical Learning center in North Edmonton is seeking an innovative Director to lead our team in delivering high-impact K-12 tutoring, with a focus on STEM, English, and test preparation aligned with Alberta's curriculum. Key Responsibilities
Promote the center through marketing strategies, community partnerships, and outreach to build clientele. Bridge Program: Full refunds are available if cancellation is made in writing at least 14 days prior to the program start date. No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the start date.
Oversee daily operations of the tutoring center, including staff supervision, scheduling, and resource management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate tutors and support staff, promoting professional development and a positive team culture.
Develop and implement tutoring programs, ensuring alignment with Alberta Education standards and incorporating data-driven improvements for student outcomes.
Manage budgets, track performance metrics, and prepare reports on utilization, effectiveness, and equity gaps.
Qualifications
Master's degree in education, education management, or a related field
At least 3-5 years of experience in tutoring, academic support, or education leadership, preferably in a post-secondary or K-12 setting.
Strong knowledge of tutoring best practices, data analysis, and adult learning theories
Proven leadership skills with experience in staff supervision, budget management, and program development.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Familiarity with tutor tracking software, Microsoft Office suite, and educational technologies.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
